GREAT PERFORMANCES “Ann” is a no-holds-barred portrait of Ann Richards, the legendary governor of Texas from 1990–94. This inspiring and often hilarious theatrical biography brings us face to face with a colorful and captivating character bigger than the state from which she hailed. Written and performed by Emmy Award-winner Holland Taylor (Two and a Half Men), “Ann” takes a revealing look at the impassioned woman who enriched the lives of her followers, friends and family. Premieres Friday, June 19, 9:00 pm ET.

GREAT PERFORMANCES “Gloria: A Life” brings us a richly detailed account of one of the most inspiring and remarkable women of our time. Five decades after Gloria Steinem began championing equality rights, her vision and call to action is as urgent as ever. Written by Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say, Execution of Justice) and directed by visionary Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Jagged Little Pill), Emmy-winner Christine Lahti (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) leads a dynamic cast comprised entirely of women. Premieres Friday, June 26, 9:00 PM

Deadline: Christine Lahti and Holland Taylor Lean Into The Power of Women with PBS ‘Great Performances’: ‘Gloria: A Life’ and ‘Ann’ — TCA
